Block mounting is the process of adhering a photograph, poster or any other printed paper onto a rigid backing board, which in most cases would be a "block" of MDF wood board. Photo mounting or laminating mounting are more general terms that would encompass adhering to other backing boards in addition to MDF, (e.g., foam core, gatorboard).

3D Block Mounting is where a 20-50mm spacer box is added to the back of your mounting board to allow your picture to stand out from the wall, giving it more depth, and the appearance of "floating" off the wall.

A canvas print (or photo canvas) is the result of an image being printed onto canvas and then stretched and/or onto a gallery-wrapped frame for display. Canvas printing (a.k.a. photo canvas printing or photos on canvas printing) is the process of creating a canvas print from a photo or other digital image.
For more details see our canvas printing and stretching products and services page.
Canvas stretching is where a digitally printed canvas or art canvas is stretched across a wood frame (stretcher bars) and secured by staples into the side edges. Canvas stretching is done in preparation for custom framing, and generally is not a finished look for hanging in itself.
For more details see our canvas printing and stretching products and services page.
Gallery wrap is where a digitally printed canvas (or photo canvas) is stretched around a wood frame (stretcher bars) and secured by staples into the back of the frame. Gallery wrapping hides the staples on the back of the frame thereby leaving the sides of the stretched canvas visible and presentable for display. When gallery wrapping a canvas you can choose what your sides will look like, with the most popular options being full bleed wrap, mirror wrap, stretched pixel wrap, colour wrap, and multiple panel wrap.
For more details on the various forms of gallery wrapping see our canvas printing and stretching products and services page.
